Dr. David Viano, director of the Sports Biomechanics Lab at Wayne State University, will take over as director of the NFL's concussion committee in the wake of Dr. Elliot Pellman's resignation. Viano, along with Dr. Ira Casson, a New York-based neurologist, will chair the committee. Neither doctor is associated with an NFL team.
